They say goaltender's are the most important part of a team; and without a strong goalie holding the fort, the team can't go very far.
Mike Smith, is an example of hot, when he's hot and cold when he's cold. Until recently he has been able to have a long career, and get consistent starts.
News regarding Smith's future emerged, that signals uncertainty for the goalie's future. Ken Holland gave an update on the goalies future.
Smith, 40, a native of Kingston, Ontario., played 28 games in 2021-22 with the Oilers, and posted a record of 16-9-2.
Can Smith get back to the NHL, or is his career all but over?
