We are just 24 hours after one of the biggest trades of this off-season, when the Tampa Bay Lightning General Manager Julien Brisebois shipped off defenceman Ryan McDonagh to the Nashville Predators for Philippe Myers and prospect Grant Mismash.
Brisebois would criticize the NHL flat salary cap as the reason he was forced to move McDonagh, and Brisebois would appear to be upset he had to make that deal.
However, with McDonagh having a no trade clause, which he agreed to waive to go to Nashville, Hockey Insider Nick Kypreos would reveal The Lightning GM had a plan B.
