Huge news for Flyers and NCAA fans

There's huge news coming out of Denver today and Flyers supporters should be ecstatic. Top Flyers prospect and NCAA standout winger Bobby Brink will be competing tonight in the Frozen Four championship game.

The best part about the whole situation is that Bobby Brink is expected to sign his entry-level contract with the Flyers following the end of his season.

Many young stars made the jump from the NCAA to the NHL in this fashion too. Cale Makar and Cole Caufield are just some examples of having an immediate impact on your new team.

More likely than not, Brink will sign a 3-year entry-level contract making him an RFA by 2023-24. This is assuming that Brink will make the jump either to the NHL or AHL. In my opinion, Brink should be given a shot right away with the first team and let him have a full training camp next year.

There is also the option he returns in the college ranks.

With about a month left in the season, burning his contract in the NHL is better than throwing him in Lehigh Valley. He's a playoff player and helped set up the goal that took Denver to the finals.

Brink has 14 goals and 43 assists through 40 games with Denver this year.
