Unlike Sean Couturier who got injured, went under surgery, and is expected back to training camp, Ryan Ellis' injury is looking much more complicated. According to Mike Yeo, there is a big decision coming regarding Ellis' future about his injury.

Everything about Ellis' injury is vague, no one seems to know the true nature of his injury and some within the organization started to wandering if Ellis really wants to be a part of the Flyers. He's not been on the ice for months and hasn't been seen with the team for the last 3 weeks.
According to one source, Ellis has been contemplating surgery.
"His injury is thought to be a hip, hip flexor, groin, abdominal or core muscle issue."
If he decides to go through with the surgery, let's hope that Ellis is back on time for training camp. He would be a top-quality defenseman to add to the team. Let's not forget that haven't really see him play with the Flyers this season, only 4 appearances, less than newly signed Bobby Brink (5).
