There is nothing worse than losing a close game heartbreakingly in pro sports. A bad bounce during overtime of game seven for the Stanley Cup, or a home team playing their hearts out and a poor play, or a goaltender who mishandled the puck cost the team the game, it's always the worst.
During today's game against the Carolina Hurricanes, the Flyers were up 4 to 3, in the dying seconds of the third period The unthinkable happened. Carolina's offence was left wide open and they blew the puck past Sandstrom with 0.3 seconds left.
It's so deflating to see that on home ice, and even with the Flyers' season coming to a close can another season locked out of the playoffs dance, games like this are what people will remember.
