Is Chuck Fletcher Hiding a Master Plan to Redeem Himself to The Fan Base and Organization?
It's pretty obvious that the Flyers organization is on the radar for the wrong reasons. They have not been much of a contender for a long time and there are lots of question marks surrounding the management group.
The opportunity has come and gone for the team to sign a big-time player (Johnny Gaudreau) or "aggressively retool" as we have heard. Essentially putting a sour taste in the fan's mouths and making Chuck Fletcher "Philly's Most Wanted". A ton of mistakes were made this offseason, or so we thought.
What if there is some kind of master plan behind all this? Not likely but what if? Let's get into it.
As you know, the Flyers missed out big this season's high-priced players, but maybe Fletcher thought about next season. Keeping the young core and depth players together this year and attacking a heavy free agency next year. Let's dive into a few of the available free agent's next season

Now let's be realistic here, Kane could very well be on the move beforehand and chances are it's not going to be with the Flyers. He is everything this team has needed since he was drafted. Now this has been talked about before, the Flyer's organization having interest in "VT", but can it finally happen this time? He certainly won't have trouble finding a new home.
Just a few players that can be a huge help next season. Flyers still need to move contracts around and with JVR on his last year. Bigger moves can realistically happen... but will Fletcher act on it? Time will tell.
