The Pittsburgh Penguins' season took a brutal end last night. They were up 3-1 in their first round series against the New York Rangers, but lost in 7 games in dramatic fashion.

Now, their offseason officially began today, and GM Ron Hextall will have some tough decisions to make, particularly in the cases of Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang. They will both become free agents this summer and have yet to find an agreement with the organization to extend their stay in Pittsburgh.
According to Andrew Fillipponi, the Penguins offered Malkin and Letang the same contract: 15M$ on 3 years. Obviously, these offers aren't enough for both players and Sidney Crosby was not happy with that.
Let's see if Malkin and Letang will find an agreement with the Penguins, but for the moment, it doesn't look good.
