Islanders forward Matt Martin, who has played 13 years in the NHL, understands how to play a physical game into his style. The six foot three 220-pound left winger assumed that tonight's game against the Flyers would be a physical one to say the least.
He explains about his pregame chats about what may happen during a game like this.
Just 8 seconds into the first period, Matt Martin dropped the gloves and fought Zack MacEwen. This was certainly a great tilt between the two players. Seconds later Nicholas Delauriers fought Ross Johnston.
Its been along time since I've seen two fights right at the beginning of the game, but it certainly was entertaining to watch.
