Ivan Provorov has been criticized a lot lately. And it was justified. His level of play was anywhere near we expected him to. Furthermore, his relationship with the team's management deteriorated in the last year, which led to multiple trade rumours.
However, let's give him some credit. He has been a lot better lately, and his performance yesterday (2 goals and 1 assist) was an example of it.
So, what's next? Chuck Fletcher will have to make some important decisions this summer. Everything was pointing at trading Provorov, but does his recent performances will change Fletcher's mind?
It's possible. Provorov is still young and if you pair him with someone who complements him well, he'll be extremely valuable to his team.
