Elliotte Friedman is reporting the NHL salary cap could rise by upwards of $10 million over the next three seasons:
2022-2023 - $82.5 million
2023-2024 $83.5 million
2024-2025 $87.5-$88 million
2025-2026 Approx. $92 million

If this is the case The Philadelphia Flyers will have the flexibility to resign James Van Riemsdyk to another outrageous multi year extension and still be able to aggressive retool with high-end free agent signings, provided Chuck Fletcher can land a player of significance.
2023 boasts the likes of Ryan O'Reilly, David Pastrnak, Dylan Larkin, Timo Meier, and Tyler Bertuzzi
2024 could be the key year, with Auston Matthews, Sebastian Aho, Elias Lindholm, Jake Guentzel, and William Nylander potentially still being available.
