John Tortorella Made NHL History by a American Coach Last Night
A milestone has been reached in the coaching career of John Tortorella, who is a fiery and sometimes controversial figure. He became the 12th head coach in NHL history along with being the first US born to coach 1400 games.
In the seasons and years leading up to this milestone, Torts has built quite an impressive resume. He worked in five different NHL organizations including our Flyers, has one Stanley Cup to his name, has won over 670 games and had 12 playoff appearances.
Additionally, he coached the USA hockey team at the 2016 World Cup.
Hopefully he can continue to develop and teach the Flyers so they can compete for the Stanley Cup in the playoffs.
