John Tortorella Preparing His Men for Battle: Looking inside the Tort's Camp

The 2022 season was over, and a new coach was the first thing needed. After a few interviews and a decision to be made, Flyers management hired their guy- Former Stanley Cup winner John Tortorella. A four-year deal worth $16 million and another chance for "Torts" to coach again.
Tortorella has a reputation of being a hard-nosed coach. One of the toughest in the league. He has expectations of his players and even with being out of the league as long as he has, his mentality has not changed.
Three weeks away from training camp and players are already starting to make their way in. The word is out that it's going to be grueling camp. Flyers new coach has expressed more than once that this is going to be a "difficult camp".

The Flyers management's best signing was the new coach. John Tortorella clearly is well aware that the current Flyers team needs a sense of direction and guidance. The accountability that has been lacked from this roster is an essential part of this signing. The players better buckle up and get ready for training camp.
At a typical Tortorella training camp, the coach wastes little time bringing out the battle drills. He's always said they'll be an immediate and regular part of his first Flyers camp (along with systems, of course).
