The NHL trade deadline clock is ticking with just about 2 weeks until the deadline day. One of the team's that's believed be very busy is the Philadelphia Flyers, last season Flyers General Manager Chuck Fletcher traded away their franchise player and captain Claude Giroux.

There's obviously no Giroux caliber trades this year, but plenty of talent that's available for the right price. One name getting a lot of attention is forward James Van Riemsdyk.
Van Riemsdyk is a pending UFA and is having a good year statistics wise, he would be a nice pick up for a playoff team if the Flyers can retain salary cap. During the most recent 32 Thoughts Podcast, Jeff Marek would reveal that the Vegas Golden Knights have expressed interest in acquiring Van Riemsdyk along with the Minnesota Wild, the Winnipeg Jets have also made calls about Van Riemsdyk.

Vegas is likely the most interested after the news that Golden Knights captain Mark Stone has had season ending back surgery, and Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon is going out to try to help fill the void left by Stone's injury.
