Lehigh Valley Phantoms Head coaches harsh words for prospects
Lehigh Valley Phantoms head coach Ian Lapierre must evaluate prospects in the Philadelphia Flyers organization before they can be considered for the NHL or remain in the minors.
As Philadelphia's youth movement continues to grow, there were two Flyers prospects today who thought they would make the team.
"I think that's everybody's goal that's here is to make the Flyers, and that's for sure my goal," Foerster told the media on the opening day of rookie camp Thursday.
"I think I'm ready."
After a successful 8-game stint last season,
Tyson Foerster feels that his chances of making the NHL are great this season. He scored 20 goals and 48 points in 66 games in the AHL last year.

Ian Laperriere said he didn't see Tyson Foerster and
Elliot Desnoyers create opportunities over two rookie games. Says it can be a wake-up call for them before main camp as they push for Flyers.
During the summer, Foerster trained with
Joel Farabee and Wade Allison to maximize his chances of making the roster.
Over rookie camp, Elliott Desnoyers and Tyson Foerster stood out for different reasons, according to Ian Lapierre.
Over two games played in rookie camp, they didn't create any opportunities.

It is his hope that the two will take this as a wake-up call before making a push for the team.
