The Philadelphia Flyers General Manager Chuck Fletcher didn't do many moves at all this off-season to improve on the 25-46-11 record last season.

However, one move may actually have some significance is the trade with the Carolina Hurricanes when the Flyers acquired defenceman Tony DeAngelo along with a 7th round pick in last month's draft for the Flyers fourth round pick 101st overall in 2022 in last month's draft, a third round pick in 2023 the lowest of the three picks and a second round in 2023.
The 26 year-old was a first round pick 19th overall back in 2014 but after his well documented attitude issues ended up in Carolina last season.
This is the good part DeAngelo turned his career around lost the attitude issues, and had a career year with the Hurricanes, scoring 10 goals, and adding 41 assists, with a plus 30 rating.
DeAngelo will no doubt play on the top four pairing with the Flyers and could possibly end up being our top guy on the backend this season, this may of actually been a good move by Fletcher.
