A week before the All-Star break, the Philadelphia Flyers had their fans thinking they were an easy shoe-in for the Stanley Cup Playoffs as they carried a five-game winning streak into January 20 and were in second place in the Metro Division. Since then, the Flyers have fallen off of a cliff, losing five straight while being outscored 27-12 during that stretch.

With the Flyers falling, many wonder if this changes the way that head coach John Tortorella and the front office with Danny Briere approach the rest of the season. Do they continue to try and make a push for the playoffs or do they back off, continue to focus on development, and become sellers during the upcoming trade deadline.
After practicing for the first time since the All-Star break on Sunday afternoon, Tortorella met with the media and to nobodies surprise, gave a fiery soundbite when asked about how he approaches winning games for the rest of the season.
"We are not backing off at all with the big picture of the organization with rebuilding. We have to listen to...on if a good asset is coming back. On the flip side, we are trying to win every G-----n game."

The Flyers have an extremely tough schedule coming up in the month of March, playing the top Eastern Conference teams for a majority of the month. With talks of moving guys like Nick Seeler, Scott Laughton and Sean Walker, the Flyers could become sellers quick if teams are desperate enough to meet Brier's price.
The Flyers begin the second half of their season in Florida on Tuesday as they take on former Eastern Conference Champion Florida Panthers on the road. Puck drop is set for 7:00p.m. EST on Tuesday.
