With the Philadelphia Flyers currently sitting in 7th in the Metropolitan Division with a 15-17-7 record, it's clear that the Flyers General Manager Chuck Fletcher is already looking to next season, John Tortorella also confirmed that fact by stating that he is not looking hard into this trade deadline and that next seasons team will be ''much different'', depending on how the rest of the season goes.

However TSN's Frank Seravalli of the Daily Faceoff stated Fletcher may have made up his mind.
Fletcher realizes with the team amongst the basement teams in the League, they too have a good shot at the draft lottery and landing 17 year-old hockey phenom Connor Bedard.

According to Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff,
The Flyers are expected to be considering just about any move that could benefit the future at the dealine. The team needs to tear it completely and go through a full rebuild. The chance of drafting generational talent Connor Bedard is within reach and tanking this season should be on the fore front.

The Flyers believe after the world juniors that if they could draft Bedard he would be the franchise player to build a team around.
