Not all fans have to be human or even born yet. If you are a local from the area of Philadelphia or even New Jersey, you are essentially born into the world of Flyer's hockey. Whether it be from your parents or guardian, or in this case- adopted dog mom.
This is the story about one of the coolest and calmest Flyers fans around, his name is Major Hart. A name like that typically isn't a human name. Thats because seven-year-old Major, is actually a dog. His breed is said to be a mastiff/American Staffordshire terrier mix, all that combined gives you a loving pet, and a big Flyers fan.
Major's mommy, a current resident in Coatesville, PA, Erika Bair had rescued Major from New Jersey rescue center that was called Animal Friends for Education and Welfare (A.F.E.W.) that is based out of Hightstown, NJ. Being a huge Flyers fan herself, she gave Major his middle name-Hart. The name comes from the Flyers starting goaltender, Carter Hart. That is his favorite player, or maybe its Ms. Bair's-Haha.
Some of Major Hart's main loves are plastic bottles, destroying squeak toys
(in the form of a Pittsburgh Penguins), bow ties, and of course- the Philadelphia Flyers.
