For the second time in a row, the Flyers couldn't hold on to a lead and lost.

With 3:51 to go in the third period, Garry Mayhew scored to give Philadelphia a 3-2 lead. But less than one minute after, the Capitals tied the game, before adding two more goals (including one in an empty net) to win the game in regulation.
After the game, Mike Yeo didn't know what to say to explain his team's loss...

"Honestly, I don't even know what to say right now. We played 57 minutes the way that we did, and you leave the game feeling that way, it's pretty tough." - Mike Yeo

The coach is right. The Flyers played a very good game overall, but still came short. The same thing happened against Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.
According to the "Deserve To Win O'Meter" from moneypuck.com, the Flyers win this game 51.6% of the time.
The third line (Ratcliffe-Bunnaman-MacEwen) was really effective, with an Expected Goals For rate of 83.37%. Same for the Mayhew-Giroux-Atkinson line.
The Flyers will be back in action on Monday night against the Hurricanes at the Wells Fargo Center.
