Nazem Kadri Receives 10 Minute Misconduct After Calling The Referee a B**** and More

The Calgary Flames defeated the New York Rangers 3-2 in overtime in last night's matchup at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary. There were a few factors that made this game rather exciting, but one in particular stands out. It wasn't Nazem Kadri's goal that gave the Flames a 2-0 lead, but rather the fact that he was removed from the game before the puck even dropped in the final overtime period.

Many players should be aware that you will probably receive a penalty if you express your annoyance to the referee, whether it is acceptable or not, or if you call the referee a "B****" like Kadri did last night. We have seen this on multiple occasions, but it simply takes a referee having a bad day to hand out a 10-minute misconduct.�
Just as the game was ready to go into OT, Kadri received a 10-minute misconduct, ending his night before the puck even dropped.
Nazem Kadri got his 10 minute misconduct penalty for arguing with the refs. Darryl Sutter says he had already been warned.
