The Chairman and CEO of Comcast Spectator, Daniel J Hilferty, also serves as the Alternate Governor of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Despite overseeing multiple business ventures, including the Flyers, Hilferty recently shared an unsolicited truth about the team's ownership. There have been questions asked about the availability of the franchise, regarding a possible sale.
In 1996, the company purchased Ed Snider's share of the team and the team has never been the same since.
Unfortunately, the team has not reached the same level of success as their legendary past, lacking the grit and determination that earned them the nickname "Broad Street Bullies."
While the addition of coach John Tortorella may bring a return to a hard-nosed style of hockey, the team is currently unpopular with fans and may consider buying out Comcast's stake in the NHL.
After 27 years of lackluster results, it would be a mistake not to consider a change in ownership.
