There's the old saying when there's smoke, there's fire and there's been a lot of smoke about pending unrestricted free agent Johnny Gaudreau.
Gaudreau, who goes by the nickname "Johnny Hockey", had a monster year in Calgary racking up 115 points. The Calgary Flames General Manager Brad Treliving has made every pitch possible to resign Gaudreau.
However, Hockey Insider Nick Kypreos believes the Gaudreau situation reminds him of when John Tavares left the Islanders high and dry to go to his childhood team the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Kypreos believes Gaudreau will likely be a Flyer' come Free Agency on Wednesday at noon. The other two teams Kypreos suggested Gaudreau could also end up was the New Jersey Devils or the New York Islanders.
