Rumours ran rampant in 2021-22 before Giroux ultimately got moved to the Panthers ahead of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Giroux added even more depth to an already strong top-six, but the Panthers fell short at the hands of the Eastern Conference champion Tampa Bay Lightning.
With Giroux's contract ended, the Hearst, Ontario native opted to sign with the Senators, which neighbour his former junior team Gatineau Olympiques.
And with G in the Senators top-six, he and the pesky Sens are more than prepared for Giroux's the first matchup versus the Flyers.

Surely, this wont be the last, as it's hard to imagine there wont be on on November 5, held by the Canadian Tire Centre staff, then again when Giroux returns to Philadelphia as an Ottawa Senator.
For now, Nov.5 marks a high marquee matchup.
Through six games Giroux has posted two goals, two assists for four points. And according to Elite Prospects, the veteran is on pace for 27 goals, 27 assists for 54 points, through 82 games, should he play the whole season.
