There is news regarding the status of Jake Guentzel from the Pittsburgh Penguins. Guentzel had to undergo ankle surgery due to an injury he suffered before the off-season.
Although it was initially thought that he would miss a significant amount of time, it turns out that he will only be out for five games this season.

On the bright side, Kyle Dubas was able to clear $3 Million in cap space with the Erik Karlsson trade.
However, the team still has less flexibility despite this. Guentzel is one of their best forwards, and the team's future is not looking very clear.
