Pittsburgh Penguins lost yesterday game against the Carolina Hurricanes by a final score of 2-1.
The Penguins only goal, which gave them some life, came seven minutes into the third period and is most likely the last one you'll see of it's kindfor a very long time.
When forward Jake Guentzel "long-flipped" the puck into the Hurricanes' zone towardstheirgoalie at the seven-minute mark, another Penguin, Rickard Rakell, chased the puck down. What occurred next is, um, intriguing; you'll have to see it for yourself:
Since many goaltenders no longer baseball swing the puck like this, this goal is quite uncommon. Fortunately for Frederick Andersen, the Hurricanes took the game 2-1, and the Penguins' comeback attempt was not fueled by that blooper of a goal.
