REPORT: Chuck Fletcher could get robbed of Johnny Gaudreau by a division rival

For the moment, it seems that the most plausible option for Gaudreau is for him to stay in Calgary. However, the little forward could get tempted to wait and see what other teams could offer him before making a decision.

Of course, he has been linked to the Philadelphia Flyers for obvious reasons. But a division rival will be in the mix: the New Jersey Devils. Even if Jack Hughes' new contract kicks in next season (8M$ average), they have a ton of cap space to play with and GM Thomas Fitzgerald clearly said that he wants his team to be competitive next season.
