The Philadelphia Flyers have signed goaltender Nolan Maier to a professional tryout, Maier is 21 years of age and recorded a .910 save percentage throughout sixty games this past season with the Saskatoon blades of the WHL.
This is a steal of a camp invite for the Flyers as Maier has recently broken out of his shell and is deemed a elite level goaltender in the WHL, but was sadly not this developed when his draft year hit, leaving no interest from NHL teams on draft day.
The Flyers future in the crease is slowing down as the franchises prospect pool in that category is starting to become worse and worse each year, as we hope for Carter Hart to have a breakout season shortly.
