The Flyers acquired Louie Belpedio with hopes of having some insurance should they run into injury issues.
That was exactly what happened when Ristolainen was on ir, but Belpedio warmed a seat in the press box, rather than filling a spot on the Flyers blue line.
Unfortunately for Belpedio, he was sent down and the club opted to fill the extra spot with Owen Tippett rather than the former.
Surely, the Phantoms are excited to have the veteran down in the AHL to help mentor the Flyers young defenders of the future.
