REPORT: Former Emergency Goalie May Face Jail Time After Serious Allegations Arise
On Feb. 22, 2020, the Carolina Hurricanes lost both of their rostered goalies in the same game, so they had to call on their emergency backup to finish the game. That backup was David Ayres.
David Ayres became on hockey sensation that night after he earned the win against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Today, Ayres is back in the headlines, but not for a good reason.
Allegations have come out from his wife, Sarah, who is saying that she is the victim of his abuse.
