Numerous people, as well as many media from across the National Hockey Leaguehave doubted Auston Matthews' future with the Toronto Maple Leafs after he signed a $52 million contract that began in 2019, which was only a few years long.

When questioned about his future in the NHL, Matthews becomes pretty irritated, especially if it involves the Arizona Coyotes, his local team and his favourite team showing up, Matthews even visited the Arizona Sports facilities this past off-season and NHL fans went bonkers because he put on a Arizona Jersey!

People are expecting Matthews to sign with another team when his NHL contract with the Maple Leafs ends after next season due to the team's poor performance and failure to advance past the first round in his years with the team as we all know,.
Whether he plays for the Leafs, Matthews is also predicted to earn the highest salary of any NHL player.
After Auston posted on social media today that he will be announcing a large sponsorship, which includes a multi-year agreement with the Royal Bank of Canada, it appears that his future with the Toronto Maple Leafs has gained more attention.
Will the Leafs even have the salary to re-sign Auston Matthews? Or do you think he will have to sell a few of his purses to help the funding of his new expensive contract.
