That's a great news.

The Philadelphia Flyers will interview Barry Trotz on Friday. He was fired by the New York Islanders on May 9th. He already did an interview with the Winnipeg Jets yesterday.
Obviously, the Flyers and the Jets are not the only teams interested in the 59-year old coach. Chuck Fletcher will have to be convincing in order for Trotz to really considerate joining the team. The good news is that Dave Scott, the Flyers CEO, gave his GM a blank check so money isn't the problem. Moreover, he is totally onboard with whoever Fletcher choose to fulfill the head coaching job.
Barry Trotz coached 1812 regular season games, and won 914 of them. In the playoffs, the former Islanders coach was behind the bench for 162 matches. He won the Jack Adams Award two times.
