Referee Forced to Leave Game Carried Away After Painful Injury
Referee Francois St.Laurent suffered a serious injury during Saturday night's game between the Los Angeles Kings and the Predators in Nashville. St.Laurent took a shot in a sensitive area while trying to catch up with the action, perhaps moving a touch too quickly.
Unfortunately for St.Laurent, he was unable to get out of the route and was struck by a quick wristshot to the knee.
Fortunately for him, it was not a major injury as he was able to return for the third period after being assisted off the ice by the Predators players and medical personnel.
