Referee Takes a Hard Shot Right in a Man's Worst Spot
Despite the intense physical strain NHL players endure while participating in the toughest and best sport in the world, injuries aren't always limited to the athletes themselves! All referees have undoubtedly experienced a tense situation at some point in their careers, and this past week we've�already seen two of them.
You might just have to witness it for yourself, but Friday night during the Detroit Red Wings' game against the Florida Panthers, a referee ended up taking the puck to his, uhh, private area..
The referee was such a trooper�he stood up and finished the game! On the other side, Colorado Avalanche forward Andrew Cogliano recently hit a referee in the ribs with a puck which resulted in a goal, Cogliano was pissed that the ref was standing there and voiced his frustrations, where he would then take an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
