Must read on FlyersInsider
Tyson is fresh off a gold medal in the World Junior Championship. He had an incredible run and was one of the top leaders for the tournament. Fully healthy and ready to go, Tyson will be competing for a roster spot on this year's team. at this point in his career and with the injuries sustained, making the club is almost a must.
A promising prospect for the Flyers and another return to the rookie camp is forward Zayde Wisdom. Another player dealing with an injury last year, Wisdom had a shoulder injury that slowed down his development. Wisdom spent last season with his junior team in Kingston, putting up 38 points through 43 games in his age 19 season. Incredible numbers. Does he make the big club this year- not too sure but seeing him in action can get him a spot due to an injury later in the year.
A new invitee to camp this year, McSorley probably does not have a shot at making the club, but crazier things have happened. The interesting thing about Tye is that he is the nephew of former enforcer Marty McSorley. McSorley is known for taking a stick and "two-handing" Donald Brashear to the head causing a full-on war in the game against the caps.
