Rookie RFA Inks New Deal- Failure to Secure the Flyers Future
In Morgan Frost, it appears as if the Philadelphia Flyers may have finally managed to sign their last restricted free agent.
This past season Frost grew into a key player in Philadelphia's lineup as he grew into a key player within the Philadelphia organization and was undoubtedly holding out for a better deal.
There was a belief that Frost wouldn't hold out until camp to reach a deal, and that seems to have been the case in the end.

As part of the deal, Frost and the Flyers agreed to a bridge deal, with a $2.1 Million average annual value over 2 years for the young 46-point forward.
The signing of Frost for a short term may actually harm the team's long-term rebuilding plans if things go awry with Frost the season after next, he will still be an RFA, which is nice but in terms of development this isn't so good.
This young forward is one of the team's most important middle-six players because he has the ability to play multiple positions on the ice for the team, the youngster had a 19-27-46 stat line in 2022-2023, with 85 hits and 155 shots on goal.
