The Buffalo Sabres' young defenseman, Mattias Samuelsson, left the ice yesterday with the help of his teammates after this nasty fall:
This is not a good situation for the 22-year old as you could see his knee twist awkwardly, which led to him requiring assistance to get off the ice.
The skates are tied so tightly that there is not much give when a leg twists like this, so there is potential for ligament damage in the knee, but hopefully that isn't the case.
The Sabres have high hopes for the youngster, who has been a great defender helping the team to a 4-1-0 start.
Hopefully it is nothing too serious, but we expect Samuelsoon to miss some time.
