Sam Morin has a new role in the Flyers organization
Morin, slipped through the narrow cracks, after the Flyers selected him in the first round of the 2013 NHL Draft, the hulking defenceman just couldn't stay healthy. The misfortunes led to an early retirement.
The Philadelphia Flyers organization made sure to do the player right, bringing him on as part of the team's player development department. A photo from Flyers training camp seemed to indicate as much, anyway.
Hockey just has a way of giving those who are deserving a chance to represent the best league in the world, even if it isn't as a player.
A great gesture to be sure, that's the way.
