Former Philadelphia Flyer Scott Hartnell spoke with Keith Irizarry on NHL Network during a segment called «5 questions for the offseason» in which the Philadelphia Flyers were brought up.

Scott Hartnell has both played and broadcasted in Philadelphia, covering the Flyers over the past two seasons in the booth during intermissions.
During the segment Scott Hartnell addressed how Danny Briere is truly trying to build from the ground up, «he is committed to a rebuild.» Hartnell said that there are a few Flyers that the team is definitely trying to move this summer.

Obviously the names being thrown around right now are Kevin Hayes, Travis Konecny, Tony DeAngelo, Carter Hart, and Scott Laughton. Scott Hartnell also mentioned the «falling out» between Kevin Hayes and head coach John Tortorella with how they haven't necessarily clicked. Hartnell said, «Whether it's a trade and keep half the salary or a buyout something like that is probably gonna happen with Hayes.» So currently Kevin Hayes seems to be the top guy on the Flyers trade block.
With that being said, Carter Hart and Travis Konency may possess the biggest return for the Flyers. «TK and Carter Hart probably the two biggest assets where you can get a big haul for a return, whether that be first round draft picks, a couple good prospects. Carter Hart is one of the best young goaltenders in the league.»
Well on the topic of Carter Hart, his contract will be up next season and the young goaltender could be expecting upwards of 8-9 million that the Flyers may not be able to pay. I also doubt that Carter Hart wants to be apart of another rebuild and sign for another 4-5 years. The best bet could be to possibly get a couple first rounders and good prospects for Carter Hart in return like Scott Hartnell mentioned.
The Travis Konecny rumours still continue with the possibility of him heading out to Edmonton, playing along side McDavid.
Scott Hartnell finished the segment with a solid message to Danny Briere and the Philly faithful, «At the end of the day Danny Briere is gonna do what he thinks is best for the Philadelphia Flyers and I believe the rebuild is the right option to go there for Philly I'm excited to see what else happens here and who they draft and watch these kids develop.»
