Scott Laughton thinks that they have the new Wayne Simmonds in the locker room

In order to explain what went wrong this season, some people said that there was a lack of "character" guys in the locker room, which wasn't the case before. One of the best example of it was Wayne Simmonds. He was a fan favourite and always played with his heart on the ice. He never took a shift off.
But there's maybe one player of the current roster that can lead the way in terms of effort : Zack MacEwen. When asked about it, Scott Laughton compared the actual number 17 to Wayne Simmonds.
Of course, MacEwen doesn't have the same offensive potential as Wayne Simmonds (during his best days as a Flyer'), but there's certainly a comparison to make between those two guys.
Talking about MacEwen, the forward say in front of the media that he really wanted to stay in Philadelphia.
