The Ottawa Senators arrived in Philadelphia yesterday to take on the Philadelphia Flyers and emotions were sparked at a all-time high after the Flyers held a small ceremony and honoured former Flyers captain Claude Giroux during his first game back in Philadelphia.
Emotions were so high two fights sparked throughout fourteen minutes in the first period, Travis Konecny dropped the gloves for the third time in his career and defensemen Tony DeAngelo dropped the mitts as well, check out the clips below:
During the final few minutes of the game Travis Konecny laid a hard-hitting hit that injured the Ottawa Senators star defensemen Thomas Chabot, but no penalty was called on the play. It appears Chabot put himself in a vulnerable position before enduring the hit, but many Senators fans believe Konecny should have a hearing with the NHL player safety committee in regards to a potential suspension or fine.
