Several Flyers prospects are poised to join the team this year
As summer comes to a close and training camp looms on the horizon in early September, the Flyers' management will evaluate their entire roster to determine who will be invited to attend this season's training camp.
This season marks a significant departure, as the team is undergoing a complete rebuilding phase. Players will be entering and exiting the team frequently. General Manager Danny Breer will be responsible for selecting the members of his starting lineup when October begins.
Numerous players have the potential to make the team this year, demonstrating growth in their NCAA careers or while playing for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Listed below are several players who are considered potential candidates to don the Flyers uniform by the end of this season:
Cutter Gauthier: Gauthier is likely the most promising contender on this list to join the Flyers by the end of this season. He has committed to another year with Boston College. Historically, when their season concludes, which is about 10 to 15 games before the NHL season ends, some players seize the opportunity to play a few NHL games before summer. Cutter has exhibited significant progress during his time with the USHL National U18 team, as well as in overseas showcases.

Helge Grans: Grans was a key acquisition in the Iron Program deal involving the LA Kings and Columbus Blue Jackets. He is perceived as a prospect possessing raw talent that requires further development. However, it's not implausible for him to gain experience by playing with the Flyers. This would grant him insight into what it's like to be a part of the NHL on a more consistent basis. The Flyers currently have a few vacancies in their defensive core that Grans could potentially fill. The decision ultimately rests with head coach John Tortorella and Grans himself, determining whether he is prepared to take the next full-time step into the NHL.
Emile Andrae: This prospect will probably see action with the Flyers this year, as he appears ready to progress in his career. Despite being 5 feet 9 inches tall, the 21-year-old defenseman showcases remarkable physicality in his game, aligning well with the Flyers' playing style. His ability to protect both himself and his teammates is evident.
As the season draws nearer, the Flyers are anticipated to undergo significant changes as more players are incorporated into the lineup.
