Shane Wright Snipes a Goal Into His Own Net
Unfortunately for Shane Wright, this season just keeps getting worse.
He had a terrible preseason, which was followed by a tough start to his NHL career and then was sent down to the AHL.
While in the AHL, he did very well, and then was recalled to the NHL, where he struggle once again.
With him struggling so much, the Kraken felt comfortable with lending him to Team Canada for the WJC. Well, in their most recent tune-up game against Slovakia, he found the back of the net.

The only issue with him scoring, though, is that he scored on his own net!
He was able to laugh it off with his goaltender, Ben Gaudreau, who was in net for the score. Wright said that he most certainly owes Gaudreau dinner this week.
This season just continues to be a struggle for the youngster, but he still has insane upside to his game, but Montreal is definitely feeling good about passing up on him with the #1 overall pick.
