On this list, JVR is projected to hold a one-year, $1.8 million cap hit. That's a far cry from what he was paid last season and with the team in need of veterans to help the younger players that will be coming into the roster could be an attractive quality for him.
On the other side of the coin, with newly minted General Manager Danny Briere and President Keith Jones, I feel it's unlikely that they would revisit JVR as they would like to move on from the past and begin the new roster construction that this team sorely needs.
JVR finished the season with 61 games, had twelve goals with 17 assists for 29 points and was a - 3. He held 28 penalty minutes and four power-play points.
