Team Canada is looking to repeat as World Junior Hockey Champions, but it won't be easy as they face Team Slovakia in the quarter finals. The story coming into this one was if Connor Bedard would break Canada's all-time points record.
Bedard didn't disappoint scoring the opening goal of the game. Canada would jump up to a 2-0 lead on a goal by Dylan Guenther. Slovakia would get one back when New Jersey Devils prospect Simon Nemec would score on the powerplay. Nemec would then surprisingly pull a bold move blowing a kiss to the Canadian crowd.
Nemec would instantly regret his decision as karma would come back to bite him in the ass when Zack Ostapchuk would score to restore Canada's 2 goal lead, and eliminate them from the tournament.
