Doug Wilson spent 19 years in San Jose as the General Manager of the Sharks organization. In 2022 he left the organization due to medical reasons but is looking to make a comeback to the sport.
During his time in San Jose, he iced some teams that won the Pacific Division 5 times, won the President's Trophy in 2008-2009, made it to the playoffs 14 times, made it to the Western Conference Finals 5 times, and went to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2016. That is an impressive resume that an organization would love to add.
His 2 biggest coups during his tenure in San Jose remain the acquisition of Joe Thornton and Brent Burns who were a part of great Sharks teams.
Wilson would be an impressive addition along with interim GM Briere in the front office.
