The NHL season has officially started as of October seventh! Well, kind of.. Garry Bettman pulls another questioning move by having the San Jose Sharks and the Nashville Predators being the NHL's first official regular season game of the year on the Seventh, the issue? Several other preseason games were played that same day, overshadowing opening night.
During preseason, teams are in their final stages of roster cuts, teams are now taking advantage of getting into the winning stage during their last few preseason games so they can steadily be rolling once their first game of the regular season hits. One of those teams are the New York Islanders, who are rolling steady and have beaten the New York Rangers in both teams's last preseason game of the off-season.

Alexander Romanov laid a HEAVY HIT against Vincent Trochek, another newly acquired addition, but by the Rangers.

The hit seems very clean, both players were given a two minute minor penalty. Romanov was sent to the box for charging, and Vesey was sent to the box for retaliation.
But the question in play, is Romanov leaving his feet, which is illegal.
