Suspensions handed out to two womens hockey players, following bizzare actions at an SHL game

Well, the opposite occured during a recent SHL battle between clubs Orebro and Brynas.

U18 Swedish womens hockey players, Anna Brenkle, 16, and Stina Sandberg, 17, are two womens hockey players from Orebro, Sweden playing for rival Brynas in the counterpart to the Mens professional league.

The pair reportedly attended an SHL game where Brynas squared off versus Orebro, which put them in a seemingly normal situation.

They chose to cause a ruckus, cheering against their home team Brynas, opting to support their hometown team from Orebro, Sweden. The two young ladies attended the game decked out in Orebro gear, and one of them was reportedly scene making an obscene finger gesture toward Brynas fans.

"If you represent Brynäs IF, we expect you to proudly wear our club brand and act in a professional manner during your time here. These players have shown poor judgment and they have been informed that the behavior is not acceptable. They are also themselves very remorseful about what happened," said club director H�kan Svedman, via an SHL statement.

Surely they disregarded home-ice advantage and opted to go against their club team.

For their efforts, Brenkle, received a four-week suspension from league play, and her teammate Sandberg was handed a two-week suspension.
