When a player is traded the hope is he stays healthy and provides a spark for the new squad.
Barring injury, or trouble acclimating that is exactly what happens. But with the Ryan Ellis debacle in Philadelphia, it seems GM's are hesitant to pull the trigger in acquiring a big fish for their team.
Such is the case with Jakob Chychrun, as Sportsnets Elliotte Friedman seems to believe Ellis' injury issues have warranted teams to pull back from trying to acquire Chychrun from the Coyotes.
Is this just a facade to discourage teams from acquiring the player, before a surprise suitor sweeps in and signs the young Arizona rearguard? Or is this a very real concern?
