The Flyers Just Welcomed a Chuck Fletcher 2.0 Into The Organization
According to a recent report by NHL insider Anthony SanFilippo, the new CEO of Comcast Spectacor, Dan Hilferty, has formed a search committee to help find the Philadelphia Flyers' next President of Hockey Operations. The search committee includes Valerie Camillo, the President and CEO of Business Operations for the Flyers, along with Billy King and Neil Glasberg.
King, who was previously the General Manager of the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets between 1998 and 2016, has joined the committee along with Glasberg, the president and founder of The Coaches Agency, who was involved in the hiring process of John Tortorella last summer.
Fans are expressing their displeasure with the inclusion of King, who they view as the "basketball version of Chuck Fletcher", the former Flyers GM who was recently fired by the team.
