The Flyers Need to abandon the �C' this season.

For a few years now, the lack of leadership on the Flyer's roster has been more and more visible. Surprisingly, it's also coming from the apparent leaders on this team. Some saying former captain Claude Giroux being taking a huge percentage of that quality- Not a good leader- wow?

With a new regime coming in and a coach who is known for toughness and accountability, is it best to really make these players play and see who will show true strength to wear the "C". I think this is something that will be seen more around the NHL. The Rangers had gone over 3 seasons without a captain on their roster and focused on team building, leadership and finding the right guys. They are now a top tier team in the NHL and had just named their captain.

John Tortorella will demand every player to give the same amount. Show and establish your role on the team and observe who stands where. Where does the respect come from? Who earned it? Who demands it?

John Tortorella made it clear that he does not like the Flyers locker room and is in no rush to name a captain.

With the disaster that is the Flyers locker room, I think that its more needed now than ever for a full team evaluation and let the leader be founded, not selected.
